Several Items From One Photo

When you are adding a lot of clothes at once, you can photograph several of them together instead of one at a time. The photo can be you wearing an outfit, clothes laid out on a bed or the floor, or clothes hanging on a rail. Wardrowbe finds each garment in it and shows you what it found, and nothing is added until you confirm.

Taking the Photo

Open the Add Item dialog and choose “Several items”. On the web, drop a photo onto the upload area or click to pick one; on mobile, take a photo or pick one from your gallery.

A few things help the garments come out as separate items:

  • Spread the clothes out so they don’t overlap much. A folded pile gives the AI little to go on.
  • Keep the whole of each garment in the frame.
  • For a worn outfit, a full-length mirror shot works best.

Finding the garments usually takes under a minute. If you upload the same photo again while it is still being read, you get the same result back rather than a second copy.

Reviewing What Was Found

When the photo has been read, you see each garment it found as its own cropped picture, with a type such as shirt or jeans. Everything starts ticked.

  • Untick anything that isn’t yours or was picked up by mistake, such as a bag in the background.
  • If a type is wrong, change it before adding. The type you choose is kept; the AI fills in colour, pattern, material and the rest afterwards.

Then press “Add items”. Each garment you kept becomes its own wardrobe item and goes through the usual AI tagging. A garment that is already in your wardrobe is skipped and you are told how many were skipped. Pressing the button twice does not add anything twice.

If you start over or close the dialog instead, the photo and its crops are deleted.

When a Photo Can’t Be Used

If no clothes are found, or the garments can’t be told apart, you are asked to try another photo. Photos are checked for unsuitable content first, so a photo that fails that check is turned down too.

Free Pass

On the free pass, every garment you add counts as one of your free items, so a photo with three garments you keep uses three. Garments you untick, and the photo itself, use nothing. If you have fewer items left than garments found, the review only lets you tick as many as fit.

The free pass also limits how many of these photos you can upload: a few a day and a set number in total. Starting your trial removes both limits.

What Happens to the Photo

The photo you upload is only used to find the garments. Once you have added your items or started over, the photo and any crops you didn’t keep are deleted, and anything left behind is removed within a day.

Mobile: “Several items” is one of the add modes on the add screen in the wardrobe tab. The review works the same way: tap a garment to select or deselect it and pick its type from the chips under it.
