Free Pass

The free pass lets you try Wardrowbe before you start a trial, with no card needed. It gives you a set number of items, outfit suggestions and shared looks to use at your own pace, and it doesn’t expire.

The free pass is part of Wardrowbe Cloud. The self-hosted open-source edition is a separate project and has no plans or limits.

Who Gets It

Every account that has never had a free trial or a paid subscription gets one free pass. It starts the first time you use it, for example when you add your first item.

A limited number of free passes can start each day. If they have run out, you see “Free passes are full today” and can try again tomorrow or start your free trial straight away.

What’s Included

WhatFree pass allowance
Wardrobe items15
Outfit suggestions3
Shared looks1
Photos with several items5 a day, 15 in total
Re-analysing items whose tagging failed10 a day, 20 in total

These are totals for the life of the free pass, not monthly amounts, and they count across the web and the mobile app:

  • Every item you add counts, however you add it. Deleting or archiving an item doesn’t give it back.
  • Every new outfit suggestion counts, including one you get from “Try another”. If a suggestion fails before an outfit comes back, it is given back, up to a few times.
  • A shared look counts once you make it. Stopping it doesn’t give it back.
  • Re-analysing is only for items whose tagging failed; items that tagged fine can’t be re-analysed on the free pass.

While you’re on the free pass, the web app shows how much you have used at the top of every page, for example “Free pass: 4 of 15 items and 1 of 3 outfit suggestions used”, next to a button to start your trial.

The free pass also includes AI tagging, the wear check “Did you wear it?” card and its evening reminder, style preferences, the wardrobe review, analytics and the gap report.

What Needs the Trial

These are part of the full plan and open when you start your trial:

When you reach a limit or open one of these, a message such as “You’ve added all your free pass items” or “That’s part of the full membership” offers “Start Free Trial”, or “Not now” to close it.

After the Free Pass

When you’re ready for more, start the 14-day free trial. The trial takes a card, and you won’t be charged until it ends. Starting the trial ends the free pass and lifts all of its limits; everything you added on the free pass stays in your wardrobe.

The free pass is a one-time offer: once you have had a trial or a paid subscription, it doesn’t come back.
