Archiving Items

Archiving takes an item out of your active wardrobe without deleting it. Archived items stop appearing in outfit suggestions, but you can still look at them and restore them whenever you like.

Who Can Use It

Archiving and restoring are included in the free pass, the free trial and a paid subscription. On the free pass, archiving an item doesn’t give back one of your free items.

Archiving an Item

Open the item and press “Archive” at the bottom of its item details. You are asked “Why are you letting it go?”. Choosing a reason is optional: pick “Donated”, “Sold”, “Doesn’t fit”, “Worn out” or “Other”, or press “Skip”. The item moves to your archive and the reason is kept with it.

You can also let items go during a wardrobe review, which archives them the same way.

When you delete an item that is part of an outfit in your lookbook, the confirmation offers “Archive instead”, so the item is kept rather than removed.

Archiving an item that is already archived changes nothing.

What Archiving Changes

An archived item:

• Is never used in outfit suggestions.
• Isn’t counted in your analytics totals or the gap report.
• Is read-only: “This item is archived. Restore it to edit, wear or wash it.” You can still view it, restore it or delete it.
• Can’t be used for a new shared look. A shared look you made before archiving stays up until you stop sharing it.

The Archived View

On the web wardrobe page, press “Archived” to switch to “Archived items”. Each card shows the reason you gave, or “Archived” if you gave none. If you haven’t archived anything yet, the view says “No archived items”.

Restoring an Item

Open an archived item and press “Restore”. The item goes back to your wardrobe as it was before you archived it, and you see “Item restored to your wardrobe”. If you have since added the same item again, the archived copy can’t be restored.

Mobile: The archive button on the item screen opens the same reasons as a bottom sheet. The archive button at the top of the wardrobe tab opens your archived items, each with its own “Restore” button.
