A wardrobe tracker app that asks what you actually wore.

Wardrowbe keeps a record of what you wear without a spreadsheet. After the day of an outfit you chose, a wear check asks whether you wore it, and when you put together something else you log what you wore. Every piece keeps its own wear history: how often you have worn it and when you last did.

Wear checks are on the free pass, with no card. Log What I Wore needs the 14-day trial (it takes a card and charges nothing until it ends) or a Cloud plan.

How it works

One question after each outfit

Your first answer stands, and a piece gets one wear a day however many outfits it was in.

  1. Step 01

    Choose an outfit

Press Wear this on a suggested outfit and it is saved for that day. Pairings and outfits you didn't choose are never asked about.

  2. Step 02

    Answer the wear check

From 5pm, and for yesterday and the day before, a card asks Did you wear it? Answer Yes, I wore it, Something else or Not this one.

  3. Step 03

    Log what you wore instead

Wore something you didn't plan? Log What I Wore takes the day, today or one of the five days before, and the clothes you had on.

What it records

Every piece keeps its wear history

Each answer adds a wear to every piece in the outfit on the outfit's day. Open an item to see what its wears add up to.

Total wears
How many days you have worn the piece.
Last worn
How many days ago you last wore it, or that you never have.
Wears a month
Your average over the last six months, so a favourite and a forgotten piece look different.
Usual occasion
The occasion you most often wear it for.
Last six months
Wears month by month, to show a piece that has dropped out.
Most and least worn
The analytics page ranks your pieces and lists the ones you have never worn.

Wardrowbe counts every wear of every piece, but it doesn't work out cost per wear. Work it out with the cost per wear calculator.

Who can use it

Wear checks start on the free pass

Wear tracking has two parts with different tiers. Wear checks are on the free pass, so the outfits you choose there are tracked with no card. Log What I Wore needs the 14-day trial or a Cloud plan, because it saves an outfit of your own, which the free pass doesn't include.

Wear checks and Log What I Wore are Wardrowbe Cloud features. The self-hosted open source edition lets you log a wear on a single item and keeps that item's wear history.

Questions

Asked about tracking what you wear

How does Wardrowbe know what I wore?

It asks. When you choose Wear this on an outfit, a wear check later asks whether you wore it, and Yes, I wore it logs a wear for every piece in it. For anything you didn't plan in Wardrowbe, Log What I Wore records the clothes you had on.

Is wear tracking free?

Wear checks are: they are on the free pass, with no card. Log What I Wore is part of the 14-day trial and Cloud plans, and on the free pass its button is hidden.

What if I log the same day twice?

Nothing is counted twice. A piece gets one wear a day, however many outfits it was in, so logging the same clothes for the same day again keeps one entry, and your first answer to a wear check stands.

Can I log a day I forgot?

A wear check stays open for yesterday's outfit and the day before until you answer. Log What I Wore covers today and the five days before.

Does deleting an outfit remove its wears?

No. Deleting an outfit removes only the outfit. The wears logged with it stay on each piece, so wear counts don't change.

Does Wardrowbe work out cost per wear?

No. Wardrowbe counts every wear of every piece, but it doesn't calculate cost per wear.

Will it remind me to answer?

In the mobile app with notifications allowed, you get a push at 8pm when you chose an outfit for today and haven't answered for it. It stops after three reminders in a row go unanswered, and starts again when you answer or log a wear.

Can I track wears on the self-hosted edition?

Partly. The self-hosted open source edition lets you log a wear on a single item and keeps that item's wear history. Wear checks and Log What I Wore are Wardrowbe Cloud features.
