Terms of Service

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Anish Shrestha, a sole trader based in New South Wales, Australia, trading as Wardrowbe ("Wardrowbe", "we", "us"). They govern your use of Wardrowbe Cloud, which means the hosted service at app.wardrowbe.com and the Wardrowbe iOS and Android apps when they are connected to it. By creating an account or using Wardrowbe Cloud, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

The open source version of Wardrowbe is licensed under the MIT License, and that license, not these terms, governs its use. Stores in our partner program are governed by the Partner Agreement.

The Service

Wardrowbe Cloud currently provides:

  • AI clothing recognition and tagging from photos you upload
  • Outfit suggestions based on your wardrobe, the weather and your preferences
  • Outfit pairing and wardrobe analytics
  • Virtual try-on image generation, which uses credits
  • Households, where family members share outfits and ratings
  • Notifications for outfit suggestions
  • Product suggestions from partner stores, which you can turn off (see Partner Store Suggestions)

We improve Wardrowbe continually, so features may be added, changed or removed over time.

Accounts

You sign in with Apple, Google or our own sign-in service, and we never store a password for you. You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it. Each account is for one person, and the information you give us must be accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure, and you should tell us promptly at hello@wardrowbe.com if you think someone else has accessed it.

Households

If you create or join a household, its members can see the outfits and ratings you share there. The household admin can invite and remove members. Only invite people who have agreed to join.

Subscriptions, Trials & Billing

Wardrowbe Cloud is an auto-renewing subscription. Prices are in US dollars:

  • Wardrowbe Cloud Monthly: $10 per month, billed monthly
  • Wardrowbe Cloud Yearly: $108 per year ($9 per month), billed annually

Free trial. New accounts can start one 14-day free trial. A payment method is required to start it, and we limit trials to one per person; we may decline a trial where we see repeat or abusive sign-ups. We send a reminder 3 days and 1 day before the trial ends through the notification channels you have turned on, such as email or push notifications. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and the first payment is charged on the day the trial ends.

Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. Payment is taken by Stripe for web purchases, or by Apple or Google for purchases made in the app. App store subscriptions renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.

Price changes. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to you, and a new price only applies from your next billing period after that notice. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before it applies.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we or the app store may retry it, and we may pause access to Wardrowbe Cloud until it succeeds.

Taxes. Prices include any tax we are required to charge unless we show the tax separately at checkout.

App store purchases. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to Apple's or Google's terms, and those stores handle their own billing, renewals and refunds.

Cancellation & Refunds

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time: on the web from the billing portal in your settings, and in the app stores from your Apple or Google subscription settings. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge a cancellation fee.

Refunds. We do not give refunds or credits for a change of mind, partial billing periods or unused time. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or under the consumer laws of the country you live in, which are described in Your Consumer Rights below.

Withdrawal in the EEA and UK. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from a web subscription within 14 days of your first payment by emailing us. Because you asked us to start the service straight away, we refund that payment minus an amount proportionate to the time you used.

Credit packs. We refund a credit pack bought on the web if you ask within 14 days of buying it and have not used any of its credits.

App store purchases. Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We cannot issue those refunds ourselves.

To ask for a refund on a web purchase, email hello@wardrowbe.com.

Try-On Credits

Subscribers receive a monthly allowance of virtual try-on credits, currently 3 per month. The allowance resets each month and does not carry over. Credit packs can be bought separately, and purchased credits do not expire while your account is open. We may also award bonus credits, for example through achievements. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and end when your account is closed.

Promotions

We sometimes offer introductory prices or discount codes. Unless the offer says otherwise, an offer is for new subscribers only, can be used once per person, cannot be combined with another offer, and has no cash value. The offer terms shown at checkout say how long the discount lasts, and after that your subscription renews at the regular price.

Your Content

You keep ownership of everything you upload, including clothing photos, try-on photos and wardrobe details.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process and display your content, and to create derived data from it such as tags, descriptions and try-on images, in order to provide, operate, secure and improve Wardrowbe as described in our Privacy Policy. This license continues for content we retain after your account is closed, as the Privacy Policy describes, and it ends for content that is erased. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we never sell it.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you submit, including the permission of anyone else who appears in a try-on photo.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

AI Features

Tags, descriptions, outfit suggestions and try-on images are generated by AI and can be wrong. Try-on images are illustrations of how clothes might look; they are not advice on fit, size, color accuracy or how a garment will look in person. Weather forecasts come from a third-party service and can also be wrong. Use your own judgement before relying on any of them, including before buying anything.

Partner Store Suggestions

Wardrowbe shows product suggestions from partner clothing stores, chosen by matching your wardrobe against their catalogs. These suggestions are on by default and can be turned off at any time in your style preferences. How this works and what data is involved is described in our Privacy Policy.

We are paid for these suggestions

When you buy an item after clicking a partner suggestion, Wardrowbe earns a commission. For direct partner stores, the store pays it. For stores reached through an affiliate network, the network pays it on the store's behalf. We tell you this plainly because you should be able to weigh it. A suggestion is not a recommendation from a stylist with no stake in the outcome.

We are not part of the sale

Any purchase you make is a contract between you and the store, not with us. The store is solely responsible for its products, prices, stock accuracy, descriptions, payment, shipping, returns, refunds, warranties, and its own privacy practices. We do not inspect, endorse, or guarantee partner products, and we are not liable for them. Disputes about an order must be taken up with the store.

Accuracy and availability

Partner catalogs are supplied by the stores and refreshed periodically. Prices and stock may be out of date or wrong by the time you click through. The price shown at checkout on the store's site is the one that counts. We may add, suspend, or remove partners at any time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Wardrowbe for anything unlawful, or upload content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, or infringes someone else's rights
  • Upload a try-on photo of anyone other than yourself unless they have agreed, and for a child, unless their parent or guardian has agreed
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to Wardrowbe, other accounts or our infrastructure, or probe or test it for vulnerabilities without our written permission
  • Interfere with or overload the service, or get around usage limits, credit limits or trial limits
  • Scrape, copy or extract data from the service with automated tools
  • Create accounts to obtain repeated free trials, or misuse promotions or partner links
  • Resell or sublicense access to Wardrowbe Cloud
  • Reverse engineer the apps or the cloud service, except where the law allows it

Open Source & Our Brand

The code we publish as open source is licensed under the MIT License. Everything else in Wardrowbe Cloud and the Wardrowbe apps, including the cloud-only features, belongs to us. The Wardrowbe name and logo are our trademarks, and neither these terms nor the MIT License gives you the right to use them.

Availability & Changes to the Service

We work to keep Wardrowbe Cloud available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. AI features rely on AI models and infrastructure that can be unavailable or slow from time to time.

If we stop offering Wardrowbe Cloud altogether, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and refund the unused part of any prepaid subscription.

Closing Your Account & Suspension

You can delete your account at any time in the app settings or by following the steps on our account deletion page. When you delete your account, it is closed immediately and cannot be reopened, and within 30 days we permanently delete it and its data, apart from the limited records described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you do not pay, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, or if the law requires us to. We will tell you why unless the law or a security risk prevents it. If we close your account without any of these reasons, we refund the unused part of a prepaid subscription.

Your Consumer Rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

If you live outside Australia, you may have rights under the consumer laws of your country. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy that the law does not allow to be excluded, restricted or changed.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Apart from the rights described in Your Consumer Rights, and to the extent the law allows, Wardrowbe Cloud is provided "as is" and "as available", and we make no other promises about it, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee for services that are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or revenue, or loss of data you did not keep a copy of, and our total liability to you for all claims connected with Wardrowbe Cloud is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$50. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Your Responsibility for Misuse

If someone makes a claim against us because content you uploaded infringed their rights, or because you used Wardrowbe in breach of the Acceptable Use rules, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the claim was caused by you.

If You Downloaded Our iOS App

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property; we are, to the extent these terms say so. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation for it. You must comply with the App Store's usage rules and any third-party terms that apply when using the app, and you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing Law & Disputes

If you have a problem with Wardrowbe, email us first at hello@wardrowbe.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales and the courts that can hear appeals from them have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and can also bring proceedings in its courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Every change is posted on this page with a new date. For a change that materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless it is required sooner by law or to address misuse or a security risk. If you do not agree to a change, you can cancel your subscription and close your account before it takes effect; continuing to use Wardrowbe Cloud after that means you accept the updated terms.

General

These terms, the Privacy Policy and any offer terms shown at checkout are the whole agreement between you and us about Wardrowbe Cloud. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else; we may transfer them to a buyer or successor of the Wardrowbe business, who will be bound by them. Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
