Try On a Whole Outfit at Once with AI

Virtual try-on used to be a one-garment trick. You picked a single shirt, saw it on your photo, and then had to imagine the rest of the outfit around it. Useful, but it stopped short of the question you actually care about: how does the whole look come together on me?
Full-outfit try-on answers that. Pick a complete outfit from your wardrobe, and Wardrowbe puts every tryable piece on you in one preview, then keeps the result on the outfit so you never have to regenerate it to remember.
One outfit, one preview
Behind the scenes, a full outfit is more than one garment, so the AI builds the look in layers. It starts from your photo, adds the bottoms, then the top, then any outerwear, each step composited onto the last. The order matters: a jacket has to land on top of the shirt, not behind it, and layering it this way keeps the result believable.
You do not see any of that. You tap See it on you once, and a few moments later the finished outfit appears on your photo. One tap, one credit, the entire look.
Colours that stay true
The most common complaint with AI try-on is drift: you feed it white trousers and get back grey or green ones. We rebuilt the instructions the model follows so each garment is described by its exact slot ("replace only the lower garment") with a hard rule to reproduce its real colour, pattern, and length and leave everything else alone.
The difference is immediate. White stays white, a striped sweater keeps its stripes, and swapping the top does not quietly recolour the trousers. If you are using try-on to make a real decision, that fidelity is the whole point.
The result stays with the outfit
Generating a preview and then losing it the moment you navigate away is frustrating. Now every outfit remembers its try-ons:
| What you get | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Latest preview, always visible | Open an outfit and its most recent try-on is right there, no regenerating |
| Before / after slider | Drag to compare your original photo against the outfit on you |
| Per-outfit history | Tried the same look a few times? Every result is saved and dated |
| One credit per outfit | The full multi-piece look costs a single try-on credit, not one per garment |
This turns try-on from a throwaway gimmick into something you actually return to. Planning what to wear on Friday? The preview is waiting on the outfit when you open it.
Where it fits
Full-outfit try-on is most useful right where you are already making choices:
- Reviewing an AI suggestion: the outfit suggestion engine proposes a look, and you see the finished combination on yourself before committing, instead of assembling it in your head
- Building looks in the editor: put an outfit together in Outfit Studio, then preview the whole thing on you
- Testing a new piece against your closet: see how a purchase actually reads with what you own, which is the same instinct behind shopping smarter and buying less
- Planning ahead: preview an event outfit days early, from your phone or the web dashboard
It works the same on both, so a look you generate on the web dashboard is the same experience on your phone.
How to get the best result
The preview is only as good as the photo you give it. The habits that helped single-item virtual try-on still apply: a full-body, front-facing photo in fitted clothing, even lighting, and a plain background. Save one photo once in settings and every outfit try-on reuses it, so you are one tap away every time.
Shoes, bags, and accessories are not part of the preview yet. The AI dresses the garments it can place well (tops, bottoms, dresses, and jumpsuits) and tells you which items it skipped.
A note on your photos
Try-on needs a photo of you, and you stay in control of it. Full-outfit try-on is a cloud feature: it isn't part of the free, self-hosted build. On the cloud version photos are processed securely and never shared; you can read more about how Wardrowbe handles your data. If you're a subscriber and want generation to run on hardware you control, you can configure your own provider instead of the managed infrastructure. Delete a try-on any time.
